Take a look at our history and get to know us better. Learn where it all began and the significant and breakthrough processes that occurred in our facility, shaping the kind of company we are today.

On April 1, 1994, a company was established that served as the precursor to today’s company. The company was a partnership between two associates, Krzysztof Buda and Janusz Wołczyk. At that time, the company operated under the name ‘Zakład Kamieniarski Buda i Wołczyk’ and was located in the same place where it remains to this day.

The 1990s were a time of flourishing stonemasonry in Poland. Due to convenient connections with the Scandinavian countries, the company specialized in materials from these regions.

At that time, the company already had modern cutting machines, edge polishers, and polishing robots, which were advanced for that period.

In early 2004, Krzysztof Buda, co-founder of the company ‘Zakład Kamieniarski Buda i Wołczyk,’ passed away.

Changes were made, and since then, the company has been operating under the name ‘Wyroby Granitowe Wołczyk.

The first logo of Wyroby Granitowe Wołczyk was created.

The machine park has been equipped with modern cutting machines from GMM and natural stone processing machines from Commandulli.

In early 2010, the construction of a hall began, which expanded the range of services offered by the company to include block cutting and slab polishing using innovative technologies. A thorough renovation of the office spaces and social area was carried out. Thanks to the changes, the areas took on a friendly and modern appearance.

The project titled ‘Development of technology for detecting surface defects on stone slabs using active thermography’ has been co-financed by the European Union under the Regional Operational Programme of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship 2014-2020.

The purchase of the Contour Five NC 700 HO machine from Breton was the first acquisition by the facility of such an advanced CNC machine, designed for performing various complex machining operations that would otherwise require multiple machines

The company is taking a significant step towards development. It is investing in new machinery and expanding the facility with another large, modern hall. All production related to cutting and processing granite slabs and elements has been moved from the existing hall to this new facility.

In the newly constructed hall, advanced bridge saw machines from GMM were installed, namely Litox 1000 and GL 5 – a 5-blade cutting machine, the first of its kind to be operated in Poland.

In place of the old production hall, a warehouse for granite slabs was established.
